Tirzing for Android Beta
The full Tirzing app on your phone, with Android Health Connect sync and native notifications.
This is a beta. Things may still be rough. If you find any bugs, especially with
Health Connect syncing (weight, steps, workouts, etc.), please tell us through the
in-app chat: once you’re signed in, tap the chat icon and send us a message. That’s the
fastest way to reach us and mention it’s about the Android beta.
How to install
Because this beta is not on the Play Store yet, Android needs your OK to install it. This is a normal one-time step:
- Tap Download APK above. If your browser warns that this kind of file can harm your device, that warning shows for every APK; choose Download anyway.
- Open the downloaded file (from the download notification, or your Downloads folder).
- Android will say installing unknown apps isn’t allowed from this source. Tap Settings, then turn on Allow from this source for your browser, and go back.
- Tap Install, then open Tirzing and sign in as usual.
You only enable “Allow from this source” once. You can turn it back off afterwards if you like; it does not affect other apps.
Updating from an earlier beta and Android says “App not installed”? Uninstall the old Tirzing first, then install again. This is a one-time step (we moved to a stable signing key so future updates install cleanly).
Health Connect
On Android 14 and newer, Health Connect is built into the phone. On Android 13 and older, install the free
Health Connect app from the Play Store first. The first time you open Tirzing it will ask
permission to sync, and take you to the Health Connect screen to choose what to share.
