Subscription & billing

Billing is handled securely through Stripe. Open Account in the sidebar, then Subscription to see your current plan and what it includes.

The free tier

Tirzing has a free plan. New accounts start on it automatically, and you can stay on it as long as you like: no card required. It includes core tracking; some advanced features are reserved for paid plans and show an “Upgrade” teaser. Your Subscription page shows exactly what Free includes and what upgrading adds.

The first time you land on the free plan we show a one-time welcome screen offering the paid plans (and your free trial, if one’s available). You can subscribe there, or choose “Continue on the Free plan”: either way you go straight into the app, and we won’t interrupt you with it again.

Starting on a paid plan

You can also pick a paid plan up front on the pricing page and toggle between monthly and yearly billing. When you start signup from a paid plan (for example “Start free trial”), we take you straight to Stripe checkout right after you create your account to set up your card, then you continue to the quick setup wizard. Choosing the free plan, or just signing in, skips checkout.

Discount links and coupon codes

If we send you a discount link (something like tirzing.com/c/LAUNCH50), just open it. The pricing page shows the discounted prices right away, with a note saying how long the discount lasts and what it goes back to afterwards. We remember it while you create your account, and Stripe checkout opens with it already applied, so there is nothing to type.

Already signed in? Open the link and your Subscription page shows the discounted plan prices the same way. If a code has expired or been withdrawn we say so plainly and show our normal prices instead. Have a code instead of a link? Type it into Have a promo code? on your Subscription page before you choose a plan.

Already subscribed, or on a free trial? Some discount links can be used on the subscription you have. Open the link and your Subscription page shows what it covers: Apply coupon to my plan puts it on your current plan, and Upgrade with coupon moves you to a higher plan at the discounted price. Before you confirm, it tells you exactly what happens: on a trial, usually nothing is charged until the trial ends and the discount comes off that first charge. Each link says which of these it allows, so not every link offers both.

Free time from invites and gifts

If you joined from a friend’s invite or during one of our gift weekends, or earned a month by inviting someone, your Subscription page shows the plan you have free and the date it ends. There is no card and nothing to cancel: when it ends you carry on with the free plan. See Invite a friend for how it works.

Founders’ Lifetime

Now and then we open a small number of Founders’ Lifetime seats: our top plan for life, for one payment, with every feature we add to it. While an offer is open it is at tirzing.com/founders, for new and free members. If you already subscribe, your plan carries on exactly as it is. Afterwards a founder’s Subscription page shows them as a founder, with nothing to renew.

Managing your plan

• Upgrade from Free (or change your plan): paid plans unlock features like predictions, reports, stall detection, nutrition and exercise.
• Open a discount link, or enter a code under Have a promo code? on your Subscription page, if you have one.
• Manage payment details and download invoices via the secure customer portal.
• Cancel any time: you keep paid access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then drop back to the free plan.
• If a renewal payment fails, you keep paid access for a week while you update your card. After that your paid features pause until the payment goes through.

If a payment fails

If a renewal charge is declined (for example an expired or replaced card), we email you and show a payment problem banner at the top of the app. Your access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for while Stripe automatically retries the charge. Open Subscription → Manage billing & payment method to update your card: once a payment succeeds the banner clears itself.

Your billing history

The Subscription page shows a billing history section: your next charge, any active discount, and a list of recent payments (including refunds) and invoices: each invoice links to a printable copy and PDF. It reflects Stripe directly, so if a scheduled plan change is cancelled it updates here automatically.

Locked features

Features your plan doesn’t include appear with an “Upgrade” badge around the app (and here in the help center). Open one and you’ll get a preview of what it does and the plans that include it, so you can upgrade right there: we only show plans that actually offer that feature. In the Android app, opening one emails you a link to that page instead (see below).

In the Android app

The app does not take payments. When you open Subscription or a locked feature in the app, we email you a link instead. Open it on your phone or any computer: it signs you in on tirzing.com and goes straight to the page you were after, where you can upgrade, change or cancel your plan. The link works once, within 20 minutes, and anything you change there shows up in the app straight away.
