Weight equivalents ("You've lost the equivalent of…")

A playful card that compares your total weight lost to real-world things, and lets you share it.

Once you've logged enough weigh-ins to show a loss, a colourful card appears at the top of your Dashboard and on your Progress page: “You've lost the equivalent of…”. It turns your total pounds (or kilograms) gone into one thing you can actually picture: 47 bananas, 2 house cats, 3 newborn babies, a bowling ball.

How it works

  • It shows one comparison at a time, picked at random: reload the page (or tap Show me another) for a fresh one.
  • Numbers are based on average real-world weights, so they're fun estimates rather than exact measurements.
  • Coin comparisons (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters) also tell you the dollar value you've dropped: e.g. “So you've lost $1,032 in pennies”.

Choosing what to compare with

Use the Compare with dropdown on the card, or Settings → Preferences → Weight comparisons: to pick a theme: a surprise mix (the default), felines, puppies & dogs, animals, wild & zoo animals, foods, household objects, babies & people, sports gear, money & treasure, or tech & gadgets.

Sharing

  1. Tap the comparison itself, or the Share this button.
  2. Tirzing builds a bright, branded image of your milestone: the emoji, the comparison and how much you've lost, credited to a different silly made-up “tool name” each time.
  3. On a phone, use the share sheet to post it anywhere; on any device you get a copyable link to the image.

On the Dashboard this card behaves like the others: drag it to reorder, or untick it in Customize to hide it.
