Safety & medical disclaimer
What the app is (and isn’t), and the disclaimer you accept on first use.
Tirzing is a personal tracking tool: not a medical device, and not a healthcare provider. The first time you open the app you’re asked to read and accept a short safety disclaimer; you must tick “I agree” before you can continue.
The essentials
- This site is informational only and is NOT medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always confirm your dosages with your healthcare provider. Don’t start, stop, or change a medication or dose based on what you see here.
- Unsure about concentration? Ask your pharmacist or healthcare provider: never guess.
- Our measurements, estimates, and dosage calculations can be wrong: especially if data was entered incorrectly. They’re estimates and models, not measurements.
- Always check the label, your doctor, and your pharmacist before taking any medication, and don’t rely on the app’s calculations when measuring or administering a dose.
Accepting the disclaimer records that you take full responsibility for verifying all calculations, that Tirzing and its owners aren’t liable for harm arising from use of the tool, and that you release, indemnify, and hold them harmless, including attorneys’ fees. It’s separate from the one-time exercise & programs disclaimer.
Why do I have to accept a disclaimer to use the app?
Because the app shows dose figures, medication-level estimates and supply predictions that are models, not measurements, and acting on a wrong number can be dangerous. Accepting confirms you understand it’s informational only and that you’ll verify everything with the label and your provider before acting.
These guides are for using the app. They’re not medical advice: the medication-level estimates in particular are a model for personal tracking only. Talk to your clinician about your treatment.
