Install Tirzing on your phone

You can install Tirzing on your phone straight from the browser. It gets its own icon on your Home Screen, opens full screen without the browser bars, and can send you push notifications. There is nothing to download from an app store, and it is always the latest version.

While you are signed in, Tirzing may offer this itself with an Install Tirzing bar at the bottom of the screen. If you dismissed it, or it never showed, follow the steps below.

iPhone and iPad

1. Open Tirzing in Safari and sign in.
2. Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up). On newer versions of iOS it may be inside the ··· menu next to the address bar.
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Leave Open as Web App switched on if you see it, then tap Add.
5. Open Tirzing from the new icon on your Home Screen from now on.

Android

1. Open Tirzing in Chrome and sign in.
2. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top corner.
3. Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen), then Install.
4. Tirzing appears on your Home Screen and in your app drawer.

Using Samsung Internet? Tap the menu (three lines), then Add page to, then Home screen.

Try the Android app (beta)

On Android there is also a beta app you can install instead. It is the same Tirzing, plus two-way Health Connect sync (so a smart scale, watch or other health app can feed data straight in) and native phone notifications. Download the Android beta app, which also explains how to install it.

It is a beta, so you may meet the odd rough edge, and it is installed from our website rather than the Play Store. You only need one of the two: if you install the app, you can remove the Home Screen version. See The Android app & Health Connect for what it syncs and how to set it up.
