Goal projection (ETA)

A live estimated date you’ll hit your goal weight, with a range.

Goal projection fits a trend line to your recent weigh-ins and extrapolates to your goal weight, giving you a live “you’ll get there around…” date that updates as you log. You’ll find it at the top of the Predictions page.

What you need

  • A goal weight set in Settings → Profile.
  • A couple of weeks of weigh-ins (the more consistent, the tighter the estimate).

Reading the projection

  • Your past weigh-ins run along the left; the shaded “cone of possibility” carries your trend forward. The dashed centre line is your most-likely path, and the cone fans out because the further ahead you look, the less certain the date.
  • The headline date is your most-likely ETA at your recent pace (about the last 8 weeks). The marker where the centre line meets your goal line is that same date on the chart.
  • The range along the bottom (“likely between …”) is a confidence band: wider when your weigh-ins are noisy.
  • The what-if slider lets you see how a faster or slower pace changes the date.

If your trend is flat or up, there’s no downward pace to project from, so no date shows until weight is dropping again. It’s a motivational estimate, not a promise.
