Reminders & notifications

Shot reminders, report alerts and inactivity nudges by email & push.

Tirzing can nudge you at the right moments by email and/or browser push (web push). You control every reminder and channel.

What you can be reminded about

  • Shot due: when your next injection is coming up, one for each medication with an injection schedule.
  • Weekly report ready: when a new weekly summary is available.
  • Inactivity: a gentle nudge if you haven’t logged in a while.
  • Tips for getting started: a few short emails in your first two weeks, each about one thing you haven’t tried yet.
  • Your year in review: an email and a push once each December, when your year in review is ready to play and share.
  • Mentions & replies: when someone @mentions you or replies to one of your messages in chat.
  • Support replies: when the team answers your private support conversation.

Chat emails never pile up. If several messages arrive while you’re away, you get one email, and the rest wait for you in chat instead of each sending another. After a day, the next new message emails you again and tells you how many are waiting. Once you’ve come back and read your messages, the next new one emails you straight away. Nothing is emailed while you’re in chat, since you’ll see it there. Push notifications are not paused.

Turning notifications on

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. For each reminder, choose the channel: email, push, or both.
  3. For push, allow notifications when your browser asks. You can enable push per device.

Push on iPhone

On iPhone, browser push only works once the app is installed to your Home Screen. In Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen, open Tirzing from that icon, then enable push in Settings → Notifications.

You can mute push on a single device without affecting your other devices or your email reminders.

Nudges for water, protein and logging your meals are set up separately, on the Reminders page, if your plan includes them.

These guides are for using the app. They’re not medical advice: the medication-level estimates in particular are a model for personal tracking only. Talk to your clinician about your treatment.
