Getting started
What Tirzing is and a step-by-step first-week setup.
Tirzing keeps your whole GLP-1 weight-loss journey in one place: your daily metrics, every injection, your medications and supply, the food and exercise around them, and the charts and predictions that turn all of it into something useful. This guide gets you from a brand-new account to your first meaningful charts.
Creating your account
Sign up with your email and a password, or tap Continue with Google to use your Google account instead (there is no email to confirm that way). You can use either one to sign in afterwards, and a Google account can still set a password later with Forgot your password?.
Step 1: Finish onboarding
When you first sign up, a short wizard asks for the essentials. Take a minute to get these right: they anchor every chart and calculation:
- Units: pounds or kilograms (you can switch later).
- Height: used for BMI.
- Starting weight: your baseline; progress is measured from here.
- Goal weight: drives the goal line on your progress chart.
- Timezone: so “today”, reminders and shot timing line up with your day.
- Your medication: the dose per shot, how often you inject (set days of the week, or every so many days), and, if your dose goes up over time, by how much and how often. Your shot reminders and supply runway follow this from the start.
Changed your mind on any of these? They all live in Settings → Profile & body stats.
Step 2: Add your medication
- Open Medication in the sidebar, then Medications, then Add medication.
- Pick the medication (e.g. tirzepatide, semaglutide, retatrutide) and save. Its half-life is pre-filled with a sensible default and can be edited later.
- Open it and fill in Your dosing: how often you inject, and your dose (one row for a steady dose, or a row for each planned increase). Reminders and predictions both follow it.
Step 3: Log your most recent shot
- Open Shots → Log a shot.
- Choose the medication and dose, set the date/time you actually injected, and (optionally) the injection site.
- Save. This is what powers your next-shot reminder, the medication-level curve and the shot-cycle indicator.
Step 4: Record today, and your supply
- On the Daily log, enter today’s weight (and anything else you want: hunger, mood, side effects).
- Under My supply, add the vial(s) you have on hand so Tirzing can estimate how long your stock will last.
Step 5: Build the habit
The single most valuable habit is a daily morning weigh-in, logged consistently. After a week or two you’ll have a real trend line, a supply runway, and (on the right plan) predictions and a peers comparison.
Already tracked elsewhere? Don’t re-type months of data: see Importing past data to bring it in at once.
These guides are for using the app. They’re not medical advice: the medication-level estimates in particular are a model for personal tracking only. Talk to your clinician about your treatment.
