Appearance & preferences
Dark mode, units, dose colors, feature tips, and hiding locked features.
Make Tirzing comfortable to use. These live under Settings → Preferences (and Profile for your weight unit) and apply across all your devices. Each setting is on its own page with its own Save button, so you can change one thing at a time.
What you can change
- Dark mode: switches the whole app and its charts to a dark theme.
- Units: your weight unit (in Profile) and your water unit.
- Dose colors: the color used for each medication dose across your charts, so different doses are easy to tell apart at a glance.
- Injection sites: switch off any built-in spot you never inject into, so it stops appearing in the site picker and the rotation stops suggesting it. You can also add your own spots beyond the built-in abdomen/thigh/arm/glute locations.
- Shot rotation: let Tirzing suggest each site, or set your own order and the next site moves one step along with every shot, starting over at the end.
- Reorder reminder: how many days before you run out the dashboard should warn you to order more (default: 2 weeks).
- Locked features: hide the features that are not on your plan from the menu (the sidebar, the bar along the bottom on a phone, and the Add food menu), so it only lists what you can use.
- Feature tips: switch the first-time tips on or off, or bring back the ones you closed.
Feature tips
The first few times you open a page, a small Tip may point out something on your plan that is easy to miss, like describing a whole meal instead of looking up each food, or the menu on each food in your diary. You only ever see tips for things you can already use, one at a time. Tap Got it, the ✕ or the tip’s button and it is gone for good on every device; a tip you leave alone stops appearing after a few visits. To turn them off, or to see them all again, go to Settings → Preferences → Feature tips.
Upgrade cards you do not want to see
A feature that is not on your plan sometimes shows as a card with a lock, on your dashboard or elsewhere. Tap the ✕ in its top-right corner to hide it on every device. Most stay hidden for good. A few can come back: the monthly review card when your next review is ready (at most once a month), and an occasional suggestion that appears at most twice in all, at least a month after you closed it. If you add a feature to your plan later, the real thing appears in its place. Changed your mind? Settings → Preferences → Locked features brings back every card you closed.
